Terms of use
The agreement between you and Epliv: what Epliv does and does not do, plans and payment, your duties and ours.
Version of 2026-10-19
1. About these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and Dee Empire (Forststraße 6, 96264 Altenkunstadt, Germany; owner: Mohamed Sesay), which runs Epliv, when you use the Epliv app, the phone app or the website. "Epliv", "we" and "us" in these terms mean Dee Empire. Questions: support@epliv.com. Our company details.
2. What Epliv is
Epliv is an information service. It looks for real opportunities abroad — conferences, festivals, scholarships, fellowships, jobs with a legal visa route, events, funding, training, exchanges, competitions and volunteering — on the organisers' official pages, checks them, and shows you the ones that fit the answers you give: what each opportunity is, who may take part, what it pays for, the deadlines, what to prepare, and general information on the legal way to travel there, with its official sources and the date they were checked. With a paid plan, the assistant Nia and help with documents are included.
Epliv does not apply for you, does not contact organisers, embassies or visa centres for you, does not fill in or submit any form for you and does not handle application or visa fees. You decide and apply yourself, on the organiser's own website and at the embassy or official visa centre.
3. No promises, no legal advice
Whether you are accepted, invited, funded or given a visa is decided only by the organiser and the authorities. Epliv promises none of it and nobody can promise you a visa. An invitation letter is not a visa.
The travel information is general information from official sources, applied to the answers you give by Epliv's own rules. It is not legal advice for your case. Rules, fees and processing times change: always check the official sources linked before you act. For advice on your own case, ask the embassy or consulate or the official visa centre.
The organisers are responsible for their opportunities and for what their pages say. Epliv checks the official pages carefully but cannot guarantee that an opportunity is complete, correct, still open or will take place.
4. Who may use Epliv
You must be at least 18 years old. You give true answers and keep them up to date. Each person may have one account; it cannot be transferred. Keep your password secret and tell us if you suspect misuse.
5. Plans and payment
Free plan. Every member can use Epliv free of charge with the Free plan; what it includes is shown under Plan.
Ads. With the Free plan, Epliv shows ads, always marked "Sponsored". Ads are not opportunities checked by Epliv: an advertiser is responsible for its ad and its own website. Paid plans have no ads.
Paid plans. A paid plan is bought for a number of months shown under Plan, at the price shown there for the country you live in. What each plan includes — for example how many matched opportunities a month, Nia's messages and minutes, document drafts — is shown with the plan. You pay once, in advance, through our payment provider Stripe; Epliv does not see or store your card details. Plans are bought on the Epliv website.
No automatic renewal. A period ends by itself. We remind you before it ends; you decide whether to buy more months.
Start. A period starts when Stripe confirms your payment. More months of the same plan, or a smaller plan, start when your current period ends. A bigger plan starts at once; the unused part of your current period is taken off its price.
What "opportunities a month" means. Each month Epliv adds up to your plan's number of matched opportunities to your list — counted once each, when they are added. When Epliv finds fewer good matches than your number, it tells you; unused numbers are not carried over to the next month. Epliv owes you the search, the checks and the information described here, not a particular number of opportunities that do not exist.
6. Refunds
You can ask for your money back for a period you paid within the number of days shown under Plan, while no opportunity was delivered to you in that period. Details are in the refund policy.
7. Your duties
You use Epliv only for yourself and only lawfully. You do not give false information, do not use Epliv to deceive organisers or authorities, do not copy or resell Epliv's content, do not read it out automatically (scraping) and do not try to break or overload the service. Never send Epliv passwords, bank or card details, passport or ID numbers or health information; Epliv does not need them.
8. AI features
With your consent, some features use artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) — Nia, reading your CV and documents, the CV builder. AI can be wrong: check every draft before you use it. Epliv uses only facts you confirmed for your documents. Your passport, your country and your date of birth are used only by Epliv's own rules, never by AI. More in the privacy policy.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Epliv available but cannot promise it is never interrupted, for example for maintenance. We may develop Epliv further and change features, as long as what you paid for stays available to you for the period you paid.
10. Liability
Epliv is provided as an information service. We are not liable for decisions of organisers or authorities, for the content of the organisers' pages, or for opportunities that change or are cancelled. Our liability for anything else is limited to the amount you paid Epliv in the twelve months before the event, except where the law does not allow such a limit.
11. Ending the agreement
You can end the agreement at any time by deleting your account (Settings → Security) or by writing to us. A paid period is then not refunded, except under section 6. We may end the agreement with two weeks' notice, or at once for good cause, such as fraud or a serious breach of these terms; we then refund the unused part of a paid period unless you caused the termination.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the service or the law requires it. We tell you by e-mail at least four weeks before; if you keep using Epliv after the change, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can end the agreement and receive the unused part of a paid period back.
13. Language
These terms are written in English. They are always available at epliv.com/terms.
