Stay safe from scams
Fake opportunities and visa scams target people who want to travel. Learn the signs — and never pay to apply.
Six signs of a scam
If you see any of these, stop. A real organiser never needs your money to consider your application.
They ask you to pay
A “processing fee”, a “registration to secure your slot” or a “visa fee” paid to them — especially by mobile money, Western Union, MoneyGram, gift cards or crypto.
They promise a visa
“Guaranteed” visas, admission or jobs. Nobody can promise a visa — only the embassy decides.
Free e-mail or WhatsApp only
The only contact is a gmail or yahoo address, or a WhatsApp number — not the organiser's own website.
A copy, not the original
The page is a copy on another site, or the website address does not match the organiser's name.
They rush you
“Only today”, “last places” — pressure to decide and pay before you can check.
They want your private details
Passport scans, bank details or passwords before you have even been accepted.
Protect yourself
Apply on the official site
Always apply on the organiser's own website. Epliv links to it on every opportunity.
Pay visa fees only officially
At the embassy or the official visa centre the embassy names — never to an agent who promises results.
Report it
If something looks wrong on Epliv, use “Report a problem” on the opportunity. The team checks every report.
Epliv's promise
Epliv never asks you for money other than on its own Plan page through Stripe, never asks for passwords or card numbers in a message, and never promises a visa.
